Volvic brand bottled water is named after the town in which its source spring is located. In the heart of France is a small village that was once hidden from common knowledge, but the Clairvic Spring was still producing water for the villagers. It wasn't until later that the spring was used to bottle some of the most amazing drinking water in all the world. Every drop from the spring comes from the underground aquifer that is protected under roughly 100 meters of rock and sediment. That aquifer is conveniently located at the perfect location to collect water as it seeps down from the nearby mountains that were once active volcanoes. Those mountains, called the Auvergne, have acted as a giant natural filter for the Clairvic Spring for ages, and that water is finally available to all those who want the purity and delicious mineral content that made it famous.
