There are few brands of American bottled water that are as respected and well-known as Mountain Valley. The Mountain Valley Spring has a history that extends beyond the existence of the brand itself, which wasn't officially founded until 1871 when a pair of brothers bought the spring with the intent of bottling and distributing the water. The Greene brothers knew the spring would draw the attention of those who prefer delicious and beneficial water, so they even built a small hotel to welcome guests off the road who wanted to visit the spring. Despite the lack of a hotel at the current site, Mountain Valley has continued their tradition of amazing water in the years since. In the early 1920s, the brand was discovered by the United States government, who decided to make Mountain Valley the official brand to be served at the White House and the United States Senate. To this day, it is only brand served by those institutions.
